Manifesto for the Star In Your Soul

I’m thrilled to launch my “Star In Your Soul” manifesto.

Is it just me, or have the last couple of years been filled with one (okay, more like 10) too many globally-renowned icons passing?

It’s sad enough when luminaries like Nelson Mandela and Maya Angelou leave us after a full and ripe life. But when beloved figures like Robin Williams, Carrie Fisher, Prince and George Michael seem to pass before their time, that sadness is laced with shock and a loss that’s hard to fully process. To our mind, they were supposed to grow old with us, to keep sharing their gifts with us, to be our source of comfort and inspiration.

Then…when other leaders in our world, in positions of power and influence, are simultaneously falling short in their capacity to comfort, cajole and corral our spirit…where do we go for that sense of stability and strength?

When the world outside us no longer serves us, where can we go to fill ourselves up again?

This ‘Star In Your Soul’ manifesto explores our relationship to those who live their lives in the spotlight, and invites us to embrace the light that burns within us all.

Because no matter how unsatisfactory your life might seem, or how adrift you may feel, all that stargazing can guide you to a better place…if you know how.

“A strong spirit transcends rules.”

Prince (1958 - 2016), Music icon and global superstar
