Why My Thanksgiving Heart Beats True

For a moment in time, we were very, very grateful.

After life journeys that began on 2 separate continents, we had miraculously found each other. Battle-scarred from the pressures of 21st-Century corporate America, our hearts, minds and souls still found an uplifting foundation for a loving relationship.

To the outside world, we seemed both strangely paired and undeniably connected. We looked different, sounded different, even held some different political beliefs.

But none of that mattered. Somehow, through his turn of phrase and my way of being, we saw something in the other that was warm, giving and irresistible.
